Intramural Sports

Students interested in representing their house in their residence hall check out UChicago’s intramural sports program, one of the most extensive in the country. Residence hall houses compete against each other in tournaments, eventually battling a graduate school team for the coveted title of All-University Champion. More than 70 percent of the students participate in one or more sports at UChicago, making it one of the more popular recreational activities on campus.

Team sports

Houses and larger RSOs (such as WHPK and the Maroon) put together teams to compete in volleyball, flag football, 3-on-3 basketball, wiffleball, basketball, soccer, broomball, softball, and Ultimate Frisbee. Some competitions can become quite intense, though players can come and go as they please, and everyone is out to have fun.
