Alex Gappert

Born in Portland, Oregon and raised in Denver, Colorado, Alex enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 2016 as an air traffic controller where he served for three years on the USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) aircraft carrier and for two years at Naval Station Rota, Spain. During his time on CVN 75, he was deployed twice to the Mediterranean, the Red, and the Arabian Seas and served as the air operations supervisor and 3M maintenance person. In Rota, Alex was a part of the Operation Allies Refuge mission where he assisted in the emergency operations center and served as a ground controller, flight planning supervisor, and air operations duty officer.
