The University of Chicago undergraduate experience is defined by a culture of inquiry, discussion, and exploration of ideas. International students are integral to the diversity of our community and contribute an essential perspective to campus conversations. International students comprise 13% of the College, 24% of the University community, and come from over 100 countries. UChicago welcomes academically talented, intellectually curious international students to a world-renowned campus in a global city.
Your application will be read in the context of where you attended high school, whatever your citizenship. As an international applicant, you will apply in the same manner as any other first-year applicant, with an additional English proficiency test requirement. For purposes of financial aid, the University of Chicago considers you an international applicant if you are neither a U.S. citizen nor a U.S. permanent resident, regardless of where in the world you live and go to school.
The deadlines for first-year international applicants are the same as those for all first-year applicants.
