The interdisciplinary opportunity in Clinical and Translational Science allows students to explore medical research and practice through the lens of traditionally separate disciplines. Undergraduates can study topics like global health, medical sociology, epidemiology, and pharmacogenomics. Students take classes to complement their academic interests in biology and medicine. While students interested in medical school often take these classes, the program is not designed to prepare students for medical school. Students interested in preparing for medical school participate in the UChicago Careers in Health Professions (UCIHP) program.
