In addition to regular campus visits throughout the year, we offer expanded programming during campus Open Houses in the spring, summer, and fall. These Open Houses give prospective students and their families a chance to get to know the University of Chicago’s singular academic community, our campus, and our home in Hyde Park.
Summer Information Days — June through August
Our Summer Information Days are a great way to kick off a weekend in Chicago! Introduce yourself to the University of Chicago by taking a tour of campus, meeting with current students, and attending a presentation with an admissions counselor. Then take the rest of the afternoon to explore Hyde Park and the rest of the city. Sunday afternoon Cubs games, Ultimate Frisbee in Grant Park, bike rides along the lakeshore, an evening concert in Millennium Park—summer in Chicago is magical, and we want to be able to share that experience with you!
Fall Open House — October 9, 2017
At our Fall Open House, you will experience faculty-taught model classes, student-led campus tours, and presentations about our Houses, study-abroad, and comprehensive pre-professional programs. Dean of Admissions, Jim Nondorf, and our staff will also discuss UChicago’s extensive academic and co-curricular programs, the admissions process, and financial aid.
Open House and Summer Information Day events begin in Rockefeller Memorial Chapel, located at the corner of 59th St. & Woodlawn Avenue.
UChicago Admissions Officers will be on the road throughout the year, hosting information sessions in a city near you. Sign up for our mailing list and we’ll be sure you get the invite!
