UChicago Visits You

We understand that not every student will have an opportunity to visit campus, so our Admissions Counselors hit the road each year to meet with students around the world. View a map of all upcoming information sessions here.

There are a few different ways that we’ll be visiting:

  • A visit to your high school (August – October)
  • A visit to a local college fair
  • An information session at a local high school, library, hotel, or other venue

Some of these information sessions offer an hour-long presentation on the University of Chicago alone, while others involve short presentations by several different colleges and universities, including UChicago.

Local UChicago Information Sessions

UChicago travels around the world to meet with prospective students and their families. Regional counselors host hour-long information sessions for students and parents at local high schools, libraries, hotels, and other venues throughout the spring, summer, and fall. These sessions cover the same topics discussed during our on-campus information sessions.

Joint Information Sessions

UChicago travels with other colleges and universities to visit prospective students and their families throughout the spring, summer, and fall. These joint information sessions can be an efficient way to learn about multiple college options and get a sense of what differentiates one institution from another. You’ll learn about what the schools traveling together share in common, each will present for a few minutes on what makes their experience distinctive, and then representatives from each school will be available to answer questions.
