Prospective students who are high school seniors or transfer students are welcome to visit undergraduate classes during their campus visit. No advance registration is necessary to visit a class. Students will be asked to select a course from the College’s course listings upon arrival in the Office of College Admissions. Class visits are not available during the Summer Quarter or during the first week and last week and a half of Autumn, Winter, and Spring Quarters.
Classes are offered during daytime hours, Monday through Friday only. Please note that Tuesdays and Thursdays provide the most options for visiting classes and that there are very few classes offered on Friday afternoons.
When visiting a class
To ensure that prospective students have an accurate classroom experience, and that we maintain the integrity of the class for our undergraduates, we ask students and families to note the following:
- Only high school seniors or transfer students may visit classes. Juniors in high school may visit after May 1 of their junior year. The Office of College Admissions is happy to supply parents and younger students with suggestions for how to spend their time during class visits.
- Plan to arrive at least five minutes prior to the start of the class to introduce yourself to the professor and ask permission to observe.
- Stay for the duration of the class.
- Please refrain from participating in the class unless invited to do so by the instructor.
