Tours & Visits

The College Admissions Office offers information sessions and walking tours of campus year-round. Join an Admissions Counselor for an information session that provides an overview of academics, the application process, and financial aid at UChicago. Then, learn about student life during a tour of campus led by a current student. Information sessions and tours are offered free of charge and are open to all grades and ages.

Tours depart from the Admissions office located in Rosenwald Hall, just to the southeast of the center circle on the Main Quadrangles. During regular visitor hours, look for the maroon and white flags. Walk-ins are welcome, but please register in advance if you are able. Please note special Admissions Office closing dates when planning your visit.

Individual Tours

Individuals or students with families and guardians may join an Admissions Counselor for an overview of academics, application process, and financial aid at UChicago, then learn about student life on a campus tour led by a current student.

Group Tours

Any group containing 20 or more people-school groups, extracurricular groups, community organizations-will need to register separately as a group tour.

Can’t make it for an official tour time? With the UChicago Video Tour, you can tour campus whenever is convenient for you, accompanied by UChicago tour guides on your smartphone. Follow the route, and the videos will start automatically, or set your own course and pick which videos you’d like to watch.

Other Visits

Additionally, prospective students have the option to schedule a class visit or an overnight visit while on campus.
