Why UChicago?
I was drawn to UChicago because of the people here. They are extremely passionate and care so much about what they are doing. I've been stuck at dinner for an extra two hours because the conversation was so good that I couldn't leave! I love it here.

Because of the University of Chicago, I...
explored academic areas that I wouldn't have otherwise thought to explore. It's helped me find what makes me passionate and what gets me energized every morning.

"The life of the mind is why I'm here."

I love the location. The school is far enough from the city that I am not caught up in the craziness that city life can hold, but I am close enough that I can catch a show or some dinner downtown whenever I want.”

Summer in Chicago is absolutely amazing. The long summer vacation gives students time to explore different Chicago neighborhoods and take in free music, food, and craft festivals. There is something in Chicago for everyone and it's truly inspiring to live in a city that is rich in culture and diversity.

I have found my home here in Chicago — it's delicious and diverse restaurants keep me fed, its countless concerts and plays keep me entertained, and the hum of traffic by the lake provides a backdrop to my naps."

Why UChicago?

Because of the life of the mind. Because I can have the most intriguing conversations with the most diverse, sharp, and respectful people imaginable at any time of day in any setting.

Because of the University of Chicago...

...I have recognized that there are no boundaries to thought.

Why UChicago?

I came to UChicago because I wanted a world-class education in a diverse neighborhood with the natural amenities of a large city. Additionally, I came to learn how to think. Sure, learning a specific skill-set is also great, but the ability to think critically, I believe, will take me much farther.

Because of the University of Chicago...

...I now have a wide network of friends and colleagues around the world; an education that speaks volumes wherever I go; and a community (Chicago) that I love and cherish.
