Regardless of major, our students graduate with outstanding quantitative, verbal, and written skills that prepare them for persuasion, negotiation, and collaboration—the cornerstones of successful business relationships. With access to an economics faculty that currently includes eight Nobel laureates, to the top-ranking University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and to the University's global network of business leaders, UChicago students build on their rigorous classroom experiences with exclusive internship and research opportunities.

UChicago’s Office of Career Advancement partners with the world-renowned Chicago Booth School of Business to help students bring what they learn in the classroom into the boardroom. With expert advisers, substantive internships, MBA-level coursework, and an extensive employer network, UChicago has helped generations of students launch successful business careers across a highly diverse range of industries, including consulting, investment banking, and marketing.

Students have access to many different career resources depending on their individual needs and interests. These range from the flexible, open-participation Careers in Business program to the selective, structured Trott Business Program and Financial Markets Program. Trott and Financial Markets students complete an intensive, three-year curriculum that typically achieves a post-graduation placement rate at or near 100% each year.

Students can also elect to pursue a business specialization through their course of study in Economics, which offers the opportunity to complete four courses at the Booth School of Business to learn fundamental business concepts and build problem-solving skills. College students who are considering an MBA in the future are encouraged to take advantage of Chicago Booth’s Accelerated MBA Option, which allows students to save time and money by counting up to six Booth courses taken during college towards an MBA degree. Students should also consider applying for the Chicago Booth Scholars Program, which lets students secure a spot with Chicago Booth’s MBA program during their final year of undergraduate study and defer enrollment for two to four years while they gain professional experience.
