Favorite class? My HUMA class (Human Being and Citizen) primarily for the awesome professor!

Favorite place on campus? Botany Pond! It’s the tiny, tiny pond on the left, if you walk through Hull Gate from the direction of Reg library. My room is pretty awesome, too.

Favorite class? Media Aesthetics! My professor is honestly the most enthusiastic person I have ever met.

Favorite place on campus? The Quad on Saturday mornings. I love walking around in absolute silence and peace after a long, busy week. The benches on the Quad are also a really beautiful place to read books or sip on a cup of coffee.

Favorite UChicago tradition? Eating out on Saturday nights! The school dining halls close after lunch on Saturdays, which gives students the incentive to explore everything the city has to offer after a long day of studying. My roommates and I love going to Chinatown or trying out new restaurants in Hyde Park. The milkshakes at Medici's on 57th are the absolute best.

What you are currently reading/watching/listening to? Besides Durkheim and the other standard Social Science readings, I am currently reading Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Music-wise, I've been going through a huge Radiohead phase, and have been fervently waiting for the new Frank Ocean album to come out. As for shows, I can't get enough of the new season of Parks and Rec and my number one guilty pleasure: The Bachelor.

Favorite class? One of my favorite classes so far has been History of Medicine. It's a class that I'm taking for my Civilization requirement, and I find it incredibly fascinating. It's a genuinely interesting topic, and the professors and wonderful and engaging.

Favorite place on campus? I love the reading room in the University of Chicago Oriental Museum. It's a great place to get work done and feel very scholarly, especially when you've already spent almost your entire week at the Reg and need a change of scenery.

Favorite UChicago tradition? My sorority hosts an annual philanthropy event called Mr. University. It's an all-male pageant in which fraternities and different organizations pick a member to represent them in the competition. The event includes lots of dancing, singing, and even a talent component. Not only is it a lot of fun, but all proceeds go towards our philanthropy organization, CASA.
